Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged children in Chile. This is provided through financial aid donated to local non-governmental organizations in Chile that help these children and youth understand their full potential, develop their talents, increase their self-esteem, learn to cope with life's challenges, receive health attention and shelter to keep them away from harm.2012 Project Plans
Two projects are underway for 2012. One will take place in Chile's Region V to help in the rehabilitation of children who are victims of child abuse. Another will be an expansion of the Moviliza project into a new neighborhood of Santiago where it will continue to provide support services to vulnerable children in extreme poverty.
Santiago Projects for 2011
Our efforts to help the children in metropolitan Santiago included projects to address bullying activity in schools, to provide after school workshops for children in neighborhoods with high levels of violence, and to support community organizations to organize recreational workshops and support services. For 2011, we supported three projects in the Santiago metropolitan area: El Umbral - Maipu, Siempre Contigo - San Miguel, and Moviliza - El Bosque.See our other projects for 2010 and 2011.
CorporaciónMoviliza - El Bosque, Santiago
Corporación Moviliza is a community of professionals that seeks to help improve the lives of individuals and groups who live in extreme poverty and vulnerable conditions. This project promotes an integrated community space to help children who live in poor neighborhoods of Greater Santiago. A coordinated effort among local institutions--Neighborhood Committee, nursery and primary schools, local health services, and parents-- organizes recreational workshops and psychosocial support services, designed to improve the lives of at-risk children.
