Support Needed for the Children of Chile After the Earthquake
Urgent Call for Donations
In response to the tremendous outpouring of sympathy for the victims of the recent earthquake in Chile and our dedication to help the children who are always the most vulnerable, the Foundation is launching a special campaign to broaden our efforts, out of Santiago, to include projects in the hardest hit regions.
With our long and successful experience in supporting community-based programs to help the neediest children of Chile, we are well placed to channel support to groups helping the children most directly affected by this catastrophe, while continuing our support for projects in the Santiago area which also have greater needs after this disaster. |

The Chilean-American Foundation (CAF)
We are a non-profit, non-political, autonomous organization chartered in Washington, D.C. since 1990 to provide financial support for social projects benefiting underprivileged children in Chile. Our members are Chileans and friends of Chile who reside in the United States, and our staff is composed exclusively of volunteers within the Chilean community in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and of volunteers that supervise CAF funded projects in Chile.
Our mission is to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged children in Chile by offering them opportunities of individual and group attention of the kind they need. This is provided through financial aid donated to local non-governmental organizations in Chile that run programs to help these children and youth understand their full potential, develop their talents, increase their self-esteem, learn to cope with life’s challenges, receive health attention and shelter to keep them away from harm.
Both the Embassy of Chile in the United States and the Permanent Mission of Chile to the Organization of American States (OAS) lend CAF their support. The Internal Revenue Service recognizes the CAF as a tax deductible organization.
But remember, our organization is run by volunteers. We need you!
We always need your energetic and creative talents in the working committees and for helping with upcoming events. To volunteer please contact us at chileanamericanfoundation@hotmail.com or call Anamaria Viveros-Long, our President at 703-489-0181.

The Chilean-American Foundation is listed in this website that thousands of individual and enterprise donors visit in the U.S. to place their charity donations.
