Two projects are underway for 2012. One will take place in Chile's Region V to help in the rehabilitation of children who are victims of child abuse. Santiago Projects in 2011

Last year's projects to help the children in metropolitan Santiago included projects to address bullying activity in schools, to provide after school workshops for children in neighborhoods with high levels of violence, and to support community organizations to organize recreational workshops and support services. For 2011, we supported three projects in the Santiago metropolitan area: El Umbral - Maipu, Siempre Contigo - San Miguel, and Moviliza - El Bosque.

Earthquake Relief Projects: 2010-2011

The fatal effects of the earthquake and tsunami that swept Chile on February 27, 2010 had a devastating effect on Chilean children. In response to these needs, we have been able to support five programs in different towns in the Maule region. While many organizations are involved in rebuilding the physical infrastructure, the foundation is addressing the emotional and social needs of the children affected by the earthquake and its aftershocks. The Maule initiative is designed to deliver comprehensive care and support to poor children and youth affected by this disaster.
